Crosby works natively in your Ironclad workflows. Once Crosby is added as a reviewer on scoped contract workflows, we'll handle review, redlines, and revisions in the workflow's comment section and document versions — keeping every turn auditable in one place.

Setups vary across clients. This guide describes the standard flow of working with Crosby in Ironclad. There are some common variations: what triggers Crosby’s involvement, standard messaging, who serves as final approver, and escalation routing — all are noted inline and confirmed during onboarding.

Step 1 — Kick off the workflow

Proceed with your existing Ironclad workflows. Crosby is configured as a reviewer (typically the Legal reviewer slot) and will be automatically routed the document when the workflow reaches review.

When you launch the workflow, Crosby will incorporate the following context, both based on attributes in the Ironclad flow and using any notes the workflow owner provides in the Ironclad comment section:

Variation: Some teams kick workflows off from Salesforce (or another upstream system), which auto-creates the Ironclad workflow and routes it to Crosby. Either way, Crosby’s review happens inside Ironclad.

Step 2 — Crosby acknowledges

Once the workflow reaches Crosby, you'll see an automated confirmation in the workflow's comment thread. While the team is reviewing, an in-progress note also appears.

Confirmation of receipt: "We've received your request and assigned it to a member of our legal team for review. If you have any additional context or questions, add them in the comment section and tag @Crosby."

Review in progress: "We're reviewing this now. As a reminder, if you have any additional context or questions, add them in the comment section and tag @Crosby."

Step 3 — Crosby uploads the revised document + client note

Crosby revises the document and uploads the new version directly to the Ironclad workflow. You'll receive a client note in the comment section summarizing the main changes and action items — with the relevant in-house contact tagged on completion.
